TRIBU collaborated with Quinta Portugal, a rural development initiative supported by the Instituto Camões, to develop a new brand identity aligned with the scale, values, and long-term vision of the project.

Working closely with the programme’s context and objectives, the rebrand aimed to create a more coherent and recognisable visual presence — one capable of reflecting both the institutional dimension of the initiative and its close connection to agriculture, local production, and farmer capacity-building in Timor-Leste.

The project included the development of a complete visual identity system, beginning with logo design and extending into a broader graphic language designed for flexibility and long-term use. TRIBU created a custom library of patterns, illustrations, and iconography to support communication needs across print, packaging, signage, institutional materials, and product applications.

The collaboration also included packaging design for locally produced goods such as coffee, honey, vanilla, and pepper, establishing a consistent visual system across all product lines while reinforcing the project’s identity and market presence.

More than a visual update, the project focused on building a structured and adaptable brand system capable of supporting Quinta Portugal’s continued growth and visibility across both development and commercial contexts.

BRAND DESIGN

Packaging & Visual System

Packaging designs and graphic applications developed as part of the Quinta Portugal identity system, including product labels, custom patterns, and supporting brand elements across multiple formats.

Inspired by Aileu

The identity system draws from the landscape and agricultural environment of Aileu, incorporating natural elements such as the sun, birds, trees, coffee branches, and beans into a flexible visual language developed for the brand revamp.

One system serves all

Timor-Leste faces significant challenges in the development of local production and market visibility, often within very limited operational resources. The solution was therefore built around a flexible packaging system capable of adapting across multiple products — including coffee, honey, cinnamon, pepper, and future product lines.

TRIBU developed a visual approach designed to ensure strong shelf recognition while remaining practical, scalable, and easy to expand as the project continues to grow.
